Gail Zavala has more than 24 years experience in the Home Health industry, is a registered nurse, a passionate advocate for patients, and founder of two businesses which support improved in-home care for the elderly in Central Texas. Mrs. Zavala is passionate about issues related to healthcare for the elderly, veterans, and women and considers it a blessing to be a nurse.
As President of Comfort Connection, Mrs. Zavala serves as a visionary and creative leader in providing long term care options for elderly individuals who need some level of assistance to maintain their quality of life in their own homes. Mrs. Zavala is recognized as a thought leader on issues related to elder care and she is responsible for Comfort Care’s overall growth and corporate strategy as well as management of day-to-day operations for the organization.In an effort to enhance the level of care available to the elderly she founded Health Training Services, LLC in 2008 in order to train nurses’ aides and prepare them to pass the State licensing exam. The School has graduated more than 300 individuals and has is proud that 92% of graduates pass the State Examination for Nurse Aides and 95% pass the State Exam for Medication Aides. Mrs. Zavala’s businesses have been profiled in the San Marcos Local News Business Spotlight and in the Post & Veteran Friendly Business Directory.
Mrs. Zavala is a native of Baltimore, Maryland; she moved to the Rio Grande Valley when she was 9 years old and has lived in the area ever since. She earned her Associates Degree in Nursing from Mc Clennan Community College in Waco, Texas and has been working on her Bachelor’s Degree from South University. Mrs. Zavala and her 3 year old German Shepherd, Bailey, a Delta Certified Dog (therapy dog), and the entire Comfort Connection team are proud to offer aid, comfort, and support to the elderly in the San Marcos Area.
