this program will prepare the student with the necessary skills for job opportunities in long term care homes, correctional facilities, home health and rehab facilities, personal care homes and mental retardation homes.
the Medication Aide Program includes the following:
100 clock hrs of classroom training that doesn’t involve direct patient care
30 clock hours of hands on laboratory skills
10 clock hours practicum in a aproved facility
To prepare nurse aides with the knowledge, skills and abilities essentail for the provision of medication administration to residents in long term care facilities.
1) prepare the student in the basic roles and responsibilities of the medication aide
2) Demonstrate comprehension of the acts and practices prohibited by medication aides.
3)Demonstrate an understanding of functions authorized to be performed by the medication aide.
4) Identify the legal and ethical implications for the medication aide.

With payments due weekly or Bi- weekly on Mondays until balance is paid in full. Must be paid in full by last day of class.
